This listing is for one fabric skin for a hearing aid or cochlear implant processor. (If you have two devices, order two skins!)
Order just the skin to protect your device or change up the color according to your mood or outfit of the day. Or, customize a skin with hand beading in your choice of beads to personalize your look!
These skins stretch to fit over your devices snuggly. They do NOT impact sound quality or device function. (However, be aware that beads may get in the way of any programming or volume buttons.) They offer your devices protection from moisture and dirt, and they also reduce wind and hair noise. To charge or change your battery, simply slide the skin out of the way.
Made with high quality nylon spandex fabric, these skins are available in multiple colors. Please see additional listings for more color options.
The hand sewn beads are made of permanently colored glass, and will not lose their shine or color. Indicate your choice of beads, or make a custom request. You can request 2 beads that alternate, or half one color and half another color. If you would like a type of bead that is not shown in the listing, please send me a message before placing your order!
Because of the minimal design, the skins are 1 layer of fabric and the edges at the top and bottom are left unhemmed, but they do not fray.
To measure your device, lay your device flat and use a ruler to measure from the bottom edge to the top of the device (where the RIC wire, tubing, or ear hook is attached). Photos shown are the Hearing Aid 1 to 1.25" size.
If you find the skin does not fit your device, I will ask you to send me a photo of the skin on your device, and provide dimensions for your device. I am willing to work with you to be sure it fits your device, and provided you ordered the correct size, I may make adjustments at no cost to you (at my discretion).
To attach to a behind the ear (BTE) hearing aid, carefully remove your hearing aid tubing from the ear hook. Starting with the larger opening of the skin, slide it over the ear hook and onto the device. Reattach tubing.
To attach to a receiver in the ear (RITE) or receiver in the canal (RIC) hearing aid, remove dome or earmold. Starting with the larger opening of the skin, slide it over the receiver and wire, then onto the device. Reattach dome or earmold.
To attach to a cochlear implant processor with ear hook, remove the coil cable from the processor. Starting with the larger opening of the skin, slide it over the ear hook and onto the device. Reattach the coil cable through the hole in the seam of the skin.
To clean, hand wash with mild soap and allow to air dry.

IMPORTANT: IF YOU HAVE A COCHLEAR IMPLANT OR BAHA, I am in the process of developing patterns for all the various models. If you do not see your brand/model here, please contact me! I will work with you to create a custom skin (or set of 2 skins) at NO COST for your help with the pattern process. All you need to do is:
Place your device flat on a piece of white paper. Trace closely all around the device.
For the CI cable port, please make hash marks on either side of the port so I know exactly where to leave an opening.
Write the exact model name somewhere on the paper. Include important details such as size of battery if applicable.
Write your choice of skin fabric color and bead choice, if you would like beads added.
Include your email address (so I can ask questions during the process.)
Write your full name and mailing address where you would like me to send your skin(s).
If you have 2 devices, please use 2 pieces of paper.
